Singapore Aquatics engaged CreativesAtWork to produce a campaign video for Swim Singapore, an initiative aimed at encouraging children and families in Singapore to discover swimming and connect with the sport in a fun, approachable way.
The campaign needed to feel energetic, family-friendly, and emotionally engaging. Rather than simply explaining the programme, the video had to capture the joy, confidence, and excitement that swimming can bring to young participants.
The Challenge
Filming children requires flexibility, patience, and a production approach that allows natural moments to unfold.
The team had a limited filming window during the school holidays, along with outdoor conditions that required careful planning. We also needed to keep young participants engaged throughout the shoot while capturing authentic reactions, movement, and energy on camera.
The challenge was to create a polished campaign video without making the children feel overly directed or staged.
Our Approach
CreativesAtWork designed the production around natural interactions rather than rigid performances.
Instead of relying heavily on scripted direction, we created simple scenarios that encouraged genuine excitement, play, and confidence in front of the camera. This helped the young participants feel more comfortable and allowed the final video to feel more spontaneous and relatable.
To give the campaign a fresh visual identity, we also experimented with early AI-assisted visual effects and morphing transitions. These creative treatments added energy and helped the Swim Singapore campaign stand out while still keeping the focus on the children and their experience.
The Outcome
The final campaign video combined authentic performances, sports storytelling, and innovative visual effects to help Singapore Aquatics launch Swim Singapore with a distinctive and memorable visual style.
The video supported the campaign’s goal of encouraging families to see swimming as more than a skill, but as a positive, confidence-building experience for children.
